white chocolate cheesecake...

for Valentine's day...

I was going to make Guinness & dark chocolate cheesecake for Mark this year, but it turn out to be this one instead. I've got this recipe online and adjust some ingredients to fit my taste.

Adding small amount of sour cream and heavy cream make it more delicious. Sweet and sour always work well together.

for the crust
- 1/2 cup crushed, oreo cookies
- 1 tb. sugar
- 1 tb. unsalted butter, melted
for the filling
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 ts. vanilla extract
- 2 oz. fine-quality white chocolate, melted
- 1/2 ts. orange zest
- 1 tb. heavy cream
- 2 tb. sour cream

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degree F.
2. Combine the crushed cookies, sugar and butter together. Press into the bottom of the pan and bake for 5 minutes.
3. Beat cream cheese and sugar on low speed, add egg, orange zest and vanilla.
4. Slowly pour melted white chocolate and mix well.
5. Add sour cream and heavy cream, mix well.
6. Bake for 40 minutes.

Happy Valentine's Day...

Sawasdee kha Thip! Nice blog you have here. Thanks for the link, I'll link to you when I do my monthly maintenance :)

Your honey's name is also Mark, ha ha :)

You're absolutely right. Cheesecake with no sour cream is like going out naked.
