from Vancouver to Victoria...

1
Mark and I were in Vancouver for 2 days. The first day, we took a walk at Stanley Park with Yindee and roam around in the city in the morning, then we head to Capalino Suspension Bridge in the evening. Sunset was around 9:00 pm., so we had plenty of time to do things in one day. The next day, we went to check out the Peak of Vancouver on Grouse Mountain. I was a bit disappointed for this one.

Vancouver seems to be the most rapidly developing city to me. The city is beautiful and full of modern high rise buildings. It is the cleanness city I've been so far. People look healthy and seem to enjoy outdoor sport. The food is sophisticated and diverse. Groceries and bakeries are everywhere. All in all, I'm impressed with Vancouver and would come back sometimes.

We continued our trip by riding on the ferry from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay, then drove to Victoria. We spent four hrs. walking and exploring around town today. I found four Thai restaurants here, but I didn't feel like having Thai food for this trip. For me, Victoria doesn't seem as interesting as I though, but still good enough to visit. I'm ready to go back to the U.S. tomorrow morning and heading to Oregon for a few days before go back to San Francisco.

Vancouver is on my list of cities to see. I live close enough, but we just never found the time...

You will like Oregon, or at least Portland. It's small enough to see in a day. It's green and people are friendly and interesting.

I'm in Hood River right now--windsurfing with the wind at 30 mph today. :D
