birthday trip...

in Vegas...

Although I'm not a fan of Vegas, but I have to say I had fun and enjoyed this trip. I did some research about where to eat, but we ended up at Wynn buffet for lunch, Bouchon and Mon Ami Gabi for dinner.
My friend suggested me that I should try buffet, so we went to Wynn buffet. I think they did a good job. Mark didn't want to go at the beginning, but I wanted to check it out since the buffet in Vegas seems like a to do thing. The Ceviche section was my favorite and dessert was good too.

The first day, we dined at Bouchon. The food was kind of classic--you get what you expect. I didn't order any desserts since they were too simple and I already had some desserts at Payard. Our last day, we dined at Mon Ami Gabi. I really liked this place--comfy and relax. We seated at the patio and watched the dancing water fountain that display every 30 minutes in front of Bellagio. The baguette was so good, came out warm with a thin crunchy crust outside and soft spongy inside. They served the whole baguette--Mark loved it. :)

It was so hot there, about 110 degrees F. We spent our day time at the pool. I almost passed out because of the heat stroke while tanning myself. After some rest and dinner, we went to check out some desserts at Jean Philippe. Then we went on to see Cirque du Soleil "O", an aquatic tapestry of artistry, inspired by the concept of infinity and the elegance of water's pure form--they were amazing.
All in all, the 2 days trip was excellent.

Happy Birthday Thip. Wishing u nothing but all happiness you can get.

I sat by the charles today near hatchshell (outdoor concert hall) seeing people sailing and windsurfing. I first thought about you and your dog because I saw a dog running around boat house and jumped into the river and climbed on a wind surfer..

First, happy birthday. It's hard not to enjoy your time in Vegas when you're just visiting. At least you didn't have to grow up there (like I did).

And at least there is air-conditioning everywhere you go. Thank goodness.
