plum clafoutis...

These baked custards are a classic French dessert that taste great served warm. However, it tastes just fine served cold. I adapted this recipe from Bon Appetit Test Kitchen

4 servings
- 3 plums, pitted and sliced thin
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp. all purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 2 tbsp. orange liqueur
- 3 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. Spray the 5" diameter ovenproof dishes with pan spray. Place dishes on rimmed baking sheet.
3. Arrange sliced plums on prepared dishes.
4. Whisk all ingredients together in a bowl.
5. Spoon batter over plums in dishes.
6. Bake clafoutis until puffed and crusty and center is just set, about 30 minutes.
7. Cool 15 minutes and serve warm.

A classic, Thip - especially as plums often taste so much like cherries. Thanks for sharing!
