one-star Michelin...

OMG! unbelievable, I've worked with two restaurants that got a one-star from Michelin Guide. First at Cortez in 2008 and now at Luce in 2010. I'm so happy for all of us at Luce. Please check more information here : http://sf.eater.com/archives/2009/10/19/michelin_stars_unveiled.php

BTW, I'm heading to New York tomorrow morning and will be there for a week. I hope you all have a great day.

Hi! I'm a student at the French Culinary Institute here in NYC, and I enjoy reading your blog and looking at the gorgeous pictures. Since you're on your way here, I'd love to know your list of must see bakeries here in the city, as I'm a NYC transplant, and also any tips you might have for an aspiring chef. I should also tell you that when I was visiting SF, I stayed at the Hotel Adagio and ate at Cortez. Twice! I raved about that restaurant for months. I hope you have a fantastic vacation. I look forward to your next post.

Hi Grade B, thank you for stopping by.
I'm planning to visit Chickalicious, Lady M and Bouchon for sure. There are many others patisseries in NYC that I'll have to check out too.
My tips for you is be prepare to work for a long hour in the kitchen, make sure you really want to do this for a living. Cheers. :)

Thanks, Mo.
