macaron classes...

learn how to make macarons like the French...

Learning how to make macarons or French macaroons can be frustrating. Mastering the right techniques, like whipping the egg whites properly, or checking the consistency of the batter makes all the difference between a successful macaron and repeated failures. If you are a mac-aholic and want to master these little sweets, I can teach you.

- 3-hour class with French meringue or Italian meringue

Place: held in a private loft in San Francisco's SOMA distract.

I've posted the recipe in gram here. Below is the recipe that I convert  from metric grams to U.S. teaspoons, tablespoons, or cups. Although I've converted it, I still recommend using digital scale.

make 80 shells (1" diameter)

- 1 2/3 cups almond flour
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp egg whites
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 cup egg whites
- pinch of food coloring powder
